Don’t Worry Be Happy

This months 28 day groove includes 2 parts ~ Don’t worry is the first part, and be happy is the second part. I’d like you to understand both parts separately, but treat it as one when working with it this month. “Don’t worry be happy”

First of all consider this: When we worry - we are not in the present moment - we are projecting some sort of fear about the future. The power is in the present - so worrying takes us out our power. And worrying is using your imagination to create what you don’t want - so there is really no benefit to worrying.

Being happy can be interpreted in a few different ways. For the purposes of this 28 day groove “Don’t worry be Happy”, we are looking at authentic happiness that doesn’t require a reason to be happy - you are happy just because you are alive.

When we put these two words together, something magical occurs and it seems to put us in the moment. The general feeling tone is good and it is almost as if you have been given permission to stop worrying and be happy. It is a feeling of lightness and acceptance no matter how tough things get. Not sure if the familiarity of the song, “Don’t worry be happy” has something to do with this, but it sure seems like it to me.

Remember that song, “Don’t worry be Happy” originally by Bobby McFerrin that was redone by Bob Marley? When I think about some of the lyrics to that song it makes me smile and makes me Happy ... especially when he says, “in every life we have some trouble, when you worry you make it double, don’t worry ~ be Happy” This goes along with my theory: worrying is using your imagination to create what you don’t want.

I am suggesting that this month - think about the consequences to your worries and just stop worrying! You are worth it. You are worth having an amazing happy life. Know that as you allow yourself to just be happy for no particular reason - you will attract good things on that higher vibratory level. So keep these words, “Don’t worry be Happy” in the front of your consciousness and recite them in your head over and over again - randomly throughout your days. When you meditate let these words ruminate thru your conscious until it becomes natural.
